National Rescue Dog Day

These past few years have been hard on everyone. Being forced to stay inside for months was tough for a lot of people, but for our pets it was a dream come true. Many people took this time to grow closer to their fur babies, and pet adoptions massively increased all over the country thanks to people eager for companionship. Now it is time to give our furry friends the celebration they deserve with National Rescue Dog Day!

Some fun history about National Rescue Dog Day; it was founded by Lisa Wiehebrink, a children’s book author and founder of the organization Tails that Teach which focuses on improving the lives of children and animals. Since it first started in 2018 it has become a beloved holiday for all pet lovers and has helped encourage pet adoption all across the country.
